Magnolia on stone

Today I once again took a magnolia to my breast. I only took a few pictures during the painting process. But at least. After cleaning the stone, I sketched the flower on the stone with a chalk pencil. Then I primed white, leaving a small gap between the leaves to see where the leaf ends.

Now I have processed the individual petals step by step, using shadows and color.

In the end, two layers of gloss varnish from Liquitex come on top. This is always the best step, because the colors and the stone color itself getting more vivid.

In addition to the magnolia stone, I have today loaded a new dragon’s eye in my stone gallery: Gallery of rock paintings
